Thanx I've done the NSU and mine is ME its good and yah and better than the previous + the Music Player is cool and it also has the spectrum animation and it comes with a Moby song and has a new theme also and the cam opens fast but there is presence of the blue thing.. still... but overall is better than the previous one...

well i delt with NSU but imnot sure abou this need some advice
well since the 7610 , i changed to sony ericson , but now im back to n73
hen i 1st got it it has the usual bugs we all know about , but 2 days ago i updated it using NSU so its now the latest firmware for n73
the question is , in the previous nokia models it caused the phone to die if it was flashed to a deferent or later firm ware version and it needed to be repaired using flash Boxs ( twister , jaf ..etc )
so now after i updated the n73 is it still possible to do the ME trick ?
my second questin can i use the code for the n73 ME for a specific area or just the ones included in this topic

thanks in advance

1. As far as I'm aware, you should be able to do the upgrade trick to ME without any problems.

2. It is best to locate the ME product code for your locality to ensure correct languages etc.

I updated successfully and all (the nokia blog has good detailed instructions) gives good instructions for every step, and all worked fine...
But when i restored my backup, the music button changed. instead of radio coming up when i hold it for a long time, my bookmarks come up. i really want the radio button, but i don't know how to change it? Before i restored the phone, the music button worked fine (with radio).
Thanks

What is the product code for ME firmware with Polish (Polski) language (unbranded)?
Or maybe there is none?!

What is your current (original) product code ? It will be printed inside the phone under the battery. If you can tell me this, I may be able to help

Thumbs up

Well now it is:

Type: RM-133
Model: N73-1
Code: 0529780

I have now languages like: English, Cestina, Slovencina, Deutsch, Polski, Madyar.
The code stands for Hungary (Magyar) firmware. But how can I be sure that in ME are the same lang packs?!
Thanks in advance for your help

Well, according to the list at the top of this forum, 0529780 is the Hungarian code, which might well contain the language you need. Based on that assumption, the Hungarian ME code is 0539289.

Hope that helps.

I assume you mean having the phone connected to the charger ? If so, yes, it's probably the safest way to do the upgrade.

Well it must be some kind of a "branded" software in your N73... You can upgrade ofcourse to unbranded
Maybe somone has uploaded Euro1 or Euro2 version, and can tell us which one has Italian language on-board?

Upgrade Issues

Hi,

I bought N73 recently and wanted to upgrade to ME. I have downloaded Namesis and installed it. But, this software is not recognizing my N73. Any ideas? My computer shows that the mobile is connected (Via USB). I have successfully connected my mobile using BlueTooth also. Still NSS is not detecting my phone. Can anybody help me?

Another problem is that, NSU is also not detecting my phone. When I start the application, it starts searching for a phone. That moment, I will get a message that, Nokia N73 has been disconnected from USB.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kiran.

is your USB cable connected to your PC via a hub ?

If so, try it on a direct connection and see if that helps.

When NSU detects the phone, PC Suite will show the phone as disconnected. This is quite normal.
