N70 v5.0638.3.0.1 battery life reduced issue

I updated to v5.0638.3.0.1, and it seems like a BIG ISSUE of this FW release is that the battery drains a lot faster.

for example, fully charged my phone saturday morning, used it for 4-5 SMS, 4-5 minutes of 3G Mobile Internet, maybe 5 minutes of calls, and on sunday morning, the phone battery indicator had 2 lines...

The same thing happened today, in the morning, the battery was full! 2-3 SMS's, 10 mins Yahoo Go Mobile, again 4-5 minutes of call, 2-3 photos, and now, 12 hours since fully charged, i only have 3 lines.

also, other N70 users with last FW have complained that the battery life has been reduced since they updated to v5.0638.3.0.1 . Nokia has to make something about this issue, it's very important.

Users with N70 v5.0638.3.0.1, please report here if you feel like your battery life has been reduced.

i have the same problem man.. just so frustrating... have to charge the phone for 3-4 hrs every morning......

i have same firmware and noticed that my battery was decreasing fast so i turned bluethooth off see if you bluethooth is on maybe that why it drains?

I notice the same thing. Even when it has all the bars full and you turn off and on the phone it has 2 bars less at once.

I have to admit that I drains faster with this firmware then the v2 but I can keep it for 3 days because of the brightness is on the lowest level, bluetooth only on when I need it and the most sounds are off.

I think I have the same problem with you. I have Nokia N70 with v5.0638.3.0.1 18-09-06. with about 10 minutes talking and a few messages, my brand new battery lasts only about 12 hours. i changed 3 batteries and the result is the same.

does anybody know how to revert the software to an older version?
