Steve's been busy digging around the Symbian Platform Security issues to come up with a plain english guide to the scary phrase of application signing and security (PlatSec). If phrases like self-signed, API lockdown, malware and Symbian Signed bring you out in a rash, this could be the best place to start.
Excellent article, Steve. I think the Symbian and S60 communities are getting past the first shock of 9.1 and PlatSec, and moving on to the business of writing and porting applications for the new versions.
As you know, we're written extensively about self-signing, and have instructions on our Internet Radio site about how to set your phone to accept self-signed apps: http://wiki.opensource.nokia.com/pro...rnet_Radio_FAQ
