Question about Firmware...

Hello everyone!
My 7650 uses the original firmware it came with months ago, but I'm interested in updating it.
I bought my 7650 on eBay, and I'm on Pay as you go with O2. Can I just pop into an O2 shop and update it? Or do I have to go to a specialist? And how much does it cost?!
Hope this hasn't been asked before, I did a quick search through the forum but found no help!
BTW Are there any phone specialists near Cardiff?
