TomTom Mobile 6 Map Question

Hello.

I have the U.S Map which weights in about 1.5GB.
I don't need the whole map with my N80, I only have 1GB Card.

Should I just get a 2GB or 4GB card and load the whole thing or is there a way to just get the Texas map.
All I interested in is the Texas map.

Thanks

eggyacid: You might be able to select just the Southwest region. When you buy the USA maps separately, they are sold in large regions, and the whole USA map is just all the regions sold in a bundle.

When you install TT6 with TTHome, it lets you select which maps you want, so you should just be able to select the region you want to put on your memory card.

GarysN80: You need to do: Change Preferences -> Next -> Next -> Next -> Manage Maps -> Switch Map.

Hope this helps.

I didnt know TomTom did just a Texas map, if the worst comes to the worst, you could buy a 2GB memory card just for the map the cheapest I got a 2GB memory card was just under £20 works out $30 - 40? which is very cheap and not a fake I might add.

A little trick I found which I use myself is, its a tight squeeze but you can actually fit a memory card under the battery cover, try it with the 128mb card you got free, what im doing is making a copy of my current 2GB card onto another 2GB memory card, but removing all the photos/music/videos/game files. then when I want to use TomTom I switch memory cards, which will still let me use all my programs but I just will not have my photos/music/videos/games on there!

The best thing is because they are 2GB cards, the UK map is only 250mb or there abouts so I can have that on my main card, for using around england while on the maps card I will have all of western europe/america whichever maps I need. Funky way of doing it I know but it works.
