My trial version of Opera Mobile expired today and for various reasons, i can't buy it right now. So i've been forced to revert to the built-in web browser. But whenever i try to launch "Web", i get a "Web already in use" message and it refuses to launch. I have successfully used it in the past and it's the first time that i encounter this problem (and of course, it happens at the exact moment when i really need it). Rebooting and removing the memory card didn't help. So i don't quite know what to do next. Formating the phone is obviously out of question (by the way, it's an E61 and i'm still on the first firmware version). Any idea?
I also experienced this problem. I had to do a hard reset to bring the phone back to the original settings in order to use browser again. Problem is, you lose all your settings when you reset phone. Does anyone know if you can fix browser problems without doing hard resets? Thanks.
It seems to be a fault with web access groups I think - if you switch them off and manually select the connection I think it works...
I've checked but i do not have any access points group. And I do not think that i ever created one. I can't ask the web browser to ask for the connection each time since i would need to start it first to be able to change its settings. I've tried to delete all the GPRS access points and even to boot the phone with a SIM from another operator than mine to no avail. Web won't start and claims to be already in use. I also tried to switch to Offline mode before launching it but it won't budge from its position. Damn stupid thing!
