Hiding "sensitive" pics/vids from gallery
Hi, Ive have searched around and have found a couple of options, but, i was wondering now that the new firmware has been released is there anyway new ways of hiding images/videos from the gallery view...
Basically when a mate looks at my phone i dont want him to be able to go through all the naked pics/vids of my girl by simple looking through the gallery.
I noticed that on the c:\ theres a excludelist.txt that has aload of directory paths written in it? i can't edit it though?
ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHH PLEASE HELP... Nokia should have sorted this by now!

possible solution
May have a solution to hiding files..
all you'll need is Y-Browser.
Create a folder on your memory card wherever you want, and copy one image to it. Open up the gallery, view the image you just put in the folder and close gallery.
Open Y-Browser and go in to the folder you created, there should be a sub folder called _PAlbTN in there are some more folders - you can delete these and then move your private images in the _PAlbTN folder - gallery shouldn't look inside this folder.
It might be worth deleting any other _PAlbTN folders on the card as well to get rid of the thumbnails of the images you have moved.
To open an image, just click on it using Y-Browser.
Let me know if this works, I've only done a quick test and seemed to work OK.

As above but just change the attribute to hidden and they are safe.

With old Series 60 phones I used HandyPhotoSafe, it was a brilliant little app that required a password to open and it stored all my 'sensitive' pics away from the Gallery, I'm hoping it get's updated for S60 3rd Ed one day!

Worked a treat! Just got broken pic icons now where the pics would have been in gallery. Also got image names such as "suck it" and "fucking in the kitchen" floating around the gallery, but that isn't a big deal....

There's Best Crypto. It encrypts the images, and once you've turned the phone off, the broken links in gallery disappear. You can still find them via File Manager though, so rename them as something random first.

yeah but its well annoying have to create a password for about 10 images. we just need a safe that requires a password to view the xxx content that we dont want family to see. I've always had to delete pics before handing over my phone, very fustrating.
