DVB-H, perhaps already the worldwide front running candidate technology for mobile TV, has received a huge boost with the news that Nokia and Motorola have announced that they will 'work to achieve interoperability among their DVB-H-enabled mobile devices and network services'. Gosh, between them Nokia and Motorola control over half of the phone market so if they're both backing DVB-H then it's got to be the favourite standard for mobile TV.
Two things might trip the standard up though: the actual phone network operators might go for a rival standard, or the public might be completely indifferent towards all forms of mobile TV.
