The main difference is OS, N72 - Symbian and 6233 a regular one. Fer that 6233 - 3G and N72 - Non 3G. Why not N70, since is 3G and about the same price of N72... at least around me!

6233 is a complete no no, as its a series 40 phone. Number of third party apps available for s60 phones is too huge as compared to their s40 siblings. Go for n72 and if you also want 3g, go for n70.
