UpNp must be also on PC, or other equipment. And, seems not have many yet!

All of that are different frequences... Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and UpNp. So the adaptor for UpNp must be specific, like the USB sticks for bluetooth.

Right the way the Nokia Media Server works is that it allows you to stream your media FROM you phone TO your PC. It also allows you to display media that is stored on you PC via remote control. It will not allow you to show media that is stored on your PC on your Phone however you can copy media from your PC to you Phone to be shown there later. If you wish to stream media from your PC to your Phone then you need ORB which is also free and available from www.orb.com

I'm considering building a VMWare virtual machine based on linux with the Twonky Vision media server so that you can easily deploy a box on any old machine and have an instant remote control Hi-Fi/Video Player...

Biggzy: Yes I've seen them. I had considered getting one but figure with the spare PC's I have lying around it would be cheaper to build my own.
You should be able to use the audio adaptor without the need for a router provided it supports Ad-Hoc connections, almost all WiFi devices do, but it's worth checking to make sure.
The Phillips Streamium looks good btw and that does support Ad-Hoc connections.

Brierley: I had been having problems with Orb since I upgraded my firmware. To fix it, set your streaming type to 3GP in Orb and in RealPlayer make sure its set to use the right connection type (for me that's my WLAN connection). It should work fine from there

The Phillips manual should have details of how to set the Streamium up for ad-hoc mode. The N80 can be set for ad-hoc mode in the wireless LAN settings. More details can be found on page 96 of the standard N80 manual.

Well you might like to double check the Orb settings, I've had mine ping back to previous settings without explaination. The other thing to check if you're not using a UPNP router is that you have the right ports open. If possible open a range of UDP ports from 6970-32000. See if that helps
