Nokia N73 Vodafone Live Problems!
Hi All,
Im new to this forum, so sorry to all bother ya with my problems!
I have just signed up to Vodafone Anytime 200, 500 Texts etc.
The phone is a little beauty, but there's one problem. I can't get on to Vodafone live.
I have been on the phone to Nokia about 10 times, checked my settings, but still won't work. When I try to get onto Vodafone live i get the message, "Packet Data; Packet Data - Connection Not Availble"
These are my settings according to Vodafone:
Access Point: Vodafone Wap
Homepage: http://live.vodafone.com
Load Imgs. & Sounds: No
Font Size : Normal
Default Encoding: Automatic
Auto Bookmarks: On
Screen Size: Select Keys Only
Search Page: www.google.co.uk
Rendering: By Speed
Cookies: Allow
Java/EMCA script: Enabled
Security Warnings: Show
Conf. DTMF sending
Under the EDIT settins of Vodafone Wap I have:
Connection Name: vodafone wap
Data Bearer: Packet Data
Access Point Name: internet
Username: web
Prompt Password: No
Password: wap
Authentication: Normal
Homepage: http://live.vodafone.com
Can someone using a N73 on Vodafone take a look, to see if their settings are the same?
Is anyone else having problems at all?
Hope to hear from you,
Regards

Vodafone live only seems to work if I go to the main menu and go to Services.
If I use the shortcut on the desktop or the top right hand button it won't connect to vodafone live and says 'Web: unsupported content type' yet it does go to any other website without a problem - any ideas people??
pauldicker: It looks like in your case you are using the wrong access point anyway, in my settings I use the following:
Access point: Vodafone live!
Homepage: http://live.vodafone.com
Load imgs. & sounds: Yes
Font size: Normal
Default encoding: Automatic
Auto. bookmarks: On
Screen size: Select. keys only
Search page:
Rendering: By speed
Cookies: Allow
Java/ECMA script: Enabled
Security warnings: Hide
Conf. DTMF sending: Always
Hope that helps!

This is because Vodafone Live is a wap portal. The Web application that comes one the N73 can not handle WML / WAP pages. Therefore if you try and access it through Web it wont work.
You must access it through the Services application

Na, I have checked the settings, all seem to be fine.
Comes up with a Error Message:
Packet Data:
Packet Date
Connection Not Available...
Im totally stuck... Vodafone have said they are clueless too...

Services
The Services app worked perfectly! Without the suggestion, I wouldn't have even known the program was there. I was so impressed by the web browser that I wouldn't have expected them to include a separate one just for WAP.

Just to let you know that this issue I had was due to a faulty SIM card. I got this replaced at my local Vodafone store, and all was fine!

Not sure if anyone knows this, but Vodafone Live can be accessed by holding down the 0/Space/i button on the keypad.
Always do it that way myself, it's quicker
