MP3 Playback
I have just transferred some MP3 files from my PC to my N80 with the Music Manager component of the PC Suite. All the files seem to have transferred to my N80 however they only show up in the gallery and not the music player. Am I missing something really obvious?

Is there anyway to ffwd through a track. I have lots of audio dramas which are in 30min segments and I would like to be able to skip through to where I left off.

This isn't possible with the built in player I am afraid, maybe they will fix this in a future fw upgrade

This has been discussed here before, and there is a beta for N80, but I tried anc couldn't get it to work yet.

Yes - I saw the thread on that. Still not compatible with 60v3 though...
Fingers crossed they port it over.

I agree, I would like somebody to develop one with a nice clean good looking interface
Maybe something similar to what calcium calc did for the calculater (I dont mean that design exactly, but the way they thought about it), thats very nice and easy and looks good

Again ...
Hi!...
I think that the N80 Music Player is one of the best players on S60 ...
To forward on the same song keep pressed sor a while the "Next song" or "Prev Song" arrows buttons to Forward or rewind on the same song ... you will see the minutes and seconds counter up or down then release the button where you want to stay...
Almost nothing you canīt do it on this player...
Make your own playlists, etc ...
The interface it change with the whole THEME on the system, so you need a good theme then if you think it looks ugly, or make your own theme to change just that Music Player look ..
Cya!

Nice tip Aefox, didnt know that
I agree, the N80 music player is quite good and easy to use, just a pity you have to start playing track from the begining if you close music player then restart

yep..fair point but some people like to have a choice. It would be nice to have an alternative player available, perhaps with an easier to use interface and one that imported your new tracks without having to do that silly update music library thingy...oh, and one that didn't miss playing songs from playlists like mine does all the time
