you can go to your local nokia to have your phone flashed.

of course it is possible to flash your 6680. Ive did it yesterday. its not difficult.

I will post a description follow this STEP BY STEP otherwise it won't work!!!

For me it does not work.
Here what happens:
1) after reboot (step 2) the setup starts to register a huge number of files. I got 2 errors (something like missing dongle) and at the end the setup says: error registering some components
2) after the reboot of step 3 it happens exactly the same with 2 errors.

All the rest goes fine... I get the cable installed, connected.

When I try to flash at 1% (before beginning, luckly) I got an error when the program says "putting in normal mode" or something like that.
And in the description of the error it looks like a "component not registered"-

Can you help me?

Second question is:
how to create a firmware?
I've found in the links thi list:

Which one do I have to choose? The 8.0x require a 8.0 before...
but hich one? RM-36_dp_v_8.00_MCUSW5.050407_EURO or 6680_RM-36_dp_v_8.00_MCUSW5.050407_EURO?
They are complitely different in size.
Anyway this file is corrupted: 6680_RM-36_dp_v_8.00_MCUSW5.050407_EURO.exe
from both the links :(

I have to dowload all the files and execute the sequence from 8.00 to 8.06? and then use the result to flash?

You have written to use the .v30 file, but is a multilanguage one or what? because some docs I've found give a map of language/operator with the .Vxx file.

Nokia have introduced this feature (here), don't know if it works but.

i bricked my 6680 after flashing it.......is there a way to bring it back to life

hello....i'm italian i'm trying to unlock my 6680.

i've found on ogmdeveloper.it, italian web site, the reference of bb5 reaper, that is a visual guide to upgrade/unlock the phone.

Is highly recommended to download the firmware in this order.... if we are 8.00 and is ready the 8.07, we have to install 8.0 8.01 8.02....to....8.07
In fact installing 8.01 it ask the 8.00 installation before. The problem is that the 8.00 is a corrupted installer.... Someone have it working?
