How Do I Format My N70

Hi Helpers,

I own a Nokia N70. I installed something and now my phone is unbootable. My phone is still capable of being charged.

My phone just seems to freeze on boot up, with it just showing a white background with NOKIA written on it.

I have tried removing both the SIM card and the Memory card and still no luck.
How can I format my phone?

Thanks

Exclamation formatting an n70

Warning this will erase everything on your phone. Make sure that you back up everything to an mmc card if possible
Switch of your phone
Press and hold these 3 keys together-
-green dial key-
-the star key(*)
-the number 3 key(very hard to do)
Press the on off switch to the phone
DO NOT let go of the keys until you see a formatting screen
After a few minutes the format will be complete, your phone will be back to factory settings

Great problem... Only with password. Or try a formaton another software, i. e., with a card reader on Windows.

This problem has been argued a lot of times on this forum. My conclusion... seems donīt have one solution. But do a little search, on previous threads, and You go find a different answers for that kind of problem.

This ain't good. If you forgot you password and also format your phone then you can kiss it goodbye your MMC because nothing can get it to work again.
