IMHO this software doesn't exist, because mp3 files are totally other than midi files. In midis is just written what instrument is playing, how long and and what tone. I think that no software can recognise this in mp3 file.

Go to download.com and download WIDI. This software can convert mp3 and wav files into midi. But it is very hard to use. Anyways give it a try.

or better yet, check out this http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=26

from there you can download a lot of great wav files. the quality is amazing, the downside is it takes up quite some amount of free space - but i think that will do considering how amazing these wavs can saound on ur phone.

yep, i agree.. wav files do sound much better, and having one or two good wav files .. better than a whole heap of midi's that you can't hear clearly enough!

I like midis because I can have about 10 midis in the same space that
1 good quality wav takes.
And i like to have assigned a different ringtone to each of my friends so i
know from sound who is calling.
With wavs that would be nearly impossible, and have space for programs too. :(

ehehee.. that's a good idea..

i spse midi offers much more variety! due to space problems on this phone..
