A few days ago I downloaded the eExtras app. My final comment ???

GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.

I will pass on the fact that you can now finally organize corectly all your files and have them open where ever you want. Plus not having 100 files to search until you find the one you need...

BUT BUT BUT... I have discovered that this app can be actually used as an alternative Active Desktop on our 9210, finally offering you the correct use of all Skins made by Lony, Mano & Flip.

What do I mean by that ? We all know about the problem when using a wallpaper on 9210 main Desk, as the image looks blured like having some kind of fog on it... BUT with the possibility of eExtras letting you add some background images, the perfect look and sense of all skins appear & with no fog on them. It's like looking at the images through the Imagine app. They appear perfectly well.

Try it & the light will appear !!!

It's ALIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!

I guess I have to go back and download all skins in the Skin department, to reinstall them as the backround image & right panel image now look exactly the same with no fog & perfect color match.

Thanks to the creators of eExtras resolving the fog problem.

The only Technical aspects of eExtras that bother me a little, are that when you load it it takes a few extra seconds to open than an other app, plus when you had customized it with zoom in/zoom out function it does not open straight away with your personnal settings. Than finally you have to wait a few extra seconds to see your backround image... But those little technical aspects are not anoying at all, and I guess will be resolved by a future update.

Now, each time I open my 9210, I use as my main desk the eExtras.

Thanks to the creators of this little app...

Best regards & Filakia from Sunny Greece (yea, the sun is back !!!!)

I've had problems with the background not fitting eExtras properly, though that's running the beta version, maybe they fixed it in the full version.. I haven't upgraded yet due to "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Hi!

Hmmmm... I´m not sure about backgrounds via eExtras... At least on my comm the backgrounds appear very slowly, and they have poor quality (repeat, at least on my comm, 4.13).
Anyway eExtras is a great app, of course.
But now I have a problem when I want to send a ringtone via SMS I see the message "Note it has not been found."
I have tried it with File Manager and with RingMaster, but the same.. I don´t know if this problem is due to eExtras (my last installed app), but now I´m formatting my device completely. I try it again after installing Data.sis and MMCdata.sis only.
Has anyone this problem?

Regards!

Sorry, but I might be one of the only ones who still has installed version 3.53 on my 9210...

Surprise ??? No !!! Considering that after reading all comments posted here, I am still worried to upgrade. Specially that here in Greece, they still think that Nokia 3210 is the latest phone available on the market.

Back to the topic... I agree that the pictures appear with some delay, but patience is always the winner... The fewer problems I found are mentioned on my previous post re this topic (slow to load, etc.). But it has resolved my problem of seeing all wallpapers with fog...

In regards of the SMS problem, I do not experience it. As you mentioned, this might be resolved with your total format, if you can not resolve the problem with another solution.

Why do I mention a total format ? According to my personal experience, I made a total format (of course I backed up the files I wanted to keep !!!). This I believe was the best think I ever made to my 9210. It seems that Nokia technicians in Nokia centers, do not give a s..t how they do the upgrades and do not install corectly the new versions. So, a manual reinstallation personalized only by you, might avoid such kind of problems.

Breast Regards & Filakia (its still sunny)

Extended extras is great. But the developers should still come up with new developments with the product. They should think of new stuff to add to the software coz it just too simple. (though it serves it's purpose). I was thinking something like adding some cool stuff to it like when you open a folder, you can customize a wav sound playing. Maybe..just maybe... I hope the developers hears this coz they costantly develop the extended messaging, why not the extras.[ This Message was edited by apcaw on 2002-03-15 0852 ]
