Welcome to the future - the Nokia N93
Ho yes. This could be the smartphone convergence-mad Steve's been waiting for - the Nokia N93 has DVD-quality video recording, 3,2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, landscape mode and every other S60 3rd Edition refinement. Here's his assessment of the new Nokia flagship.

But What I always wonder is, how about the shutter lag of the camera. When I take photos with my N70 I take a picture and it takes long before it actually takes the picture. The shutterlag is so slow.
How about the N93's bluetooth, is it 2.0 or still 1.2?
About the music, is it still with a popport or a 3.5mm standard headphone jack?

To be fair to Nokia and other makers of camera phones, taking a picture involves a degree of light level checking, in order to set the timer on the electronic 'shutter'. The N70 seems to take a little longer than my 6630, but then there are more pixels to check for intensity etc.

True, N70 have a long shuterlag, before to do a photo! And takes to long also, to save a photo. But things improve... N93 is Bluetooth 2.0 - Spcifications page, in Nseries Site, and keeps a pop-port, is visible in a lateral photo of device in color grey!

Wow, even I am impressed this time! Cudos to Nokia. A phone with an actual useable camera - great!
I've been hoping for something from Nokia to get instead of the P990, and this looks like it. Too bad it doesn't have a keyboard and/or a TS, but it is still great. 2.4" display with landscape orientation, W-LAN, useable video recording, nice design, N-Gage game compatibility etc... - great!

upnp enabled televison
is there really some television out there that will enable it to connect to a wireless network and allow upnp streaming? i'd really like to know if such devices are on the market and links to them if possible. also, will the tv-out cable provided be able to connect to the Nokia n80?
one more: the n80 also has a 3 megapixel camera and still is my favourite nokia. will a software enable it to record at a higher resolution than the default? many thanks

in your post steve you said about nokia beign confused over which msuci solution to use
thier own
wmp10
they should just forget about developing their own & work on their links with ms. since wmp10 has id3tagging bultin in no need for gracenotes,so auto tagging for all phones

I was wondering when someone would notice that. Unless otherwise people are deliberately avoiding the fact that these devices support synching with windows media player (probably all itunes users ). WMP10 supports CDDB and id3 tags, so there really should be no quibles here.

Nokia N93; First Nokia Phone with HW Accelerated 3D Graphics
We have already spotted that Nokia N93 is the first Nokia phone with HW accelerated 3D graphics and OpenGL ES (1.1) support.
As the real freaks we have been very curious about this new and exciting technology and after some research we have found that N93 uses PowerVR MBX 2D/3D graphics accelerator from Imagination Technology incorporated into Texas Instrument’s OMAP2420 together with the fully programmable VGP vertex processor core, FPU (floating point unit) and ARM11 processor.
Although Nokia N93 isn’t the only Symbian phone that uses this technology, it seams that Sony Ericsson P990 as well as.. ...
