The N80 starts shipping, Support pages online

Nokia's N80 pages have appeared on their web site, with the usual mix of FAQs, documents and add-on software. Which can only mean that the N80 is shipping. Somewhere in the world, anyway!

Read on in the full article.

I so want this phone.... Come on O2, get it out.

Interestingly, I noticed that Stuff magazine have this phone as their Best Buy, phone to die for.

How exciting!

I had heard it rumoured from one well connected UK operator source that in their opinion the N80 was rapidly heading for vapourware. But has anyone actually seen a review of one yet (other than on mobile review)? Come on Rafe, Steve or Ewan - have any of you got your hands on one of these yet? I've seen the N91 review, I am waiting for the E61 review but the one I really want to see is this baby. And keeping fingers crossed that it makes it on to T-Mob before June.

Nice phone but a bit pricey? (Expansys are listing it at £614.95...)

I don't think any of the AAS crew has their hands on one yet. (Not long though I hope). I had a very quick play with one at CTIA - it really is gorgeous (and seemed much more stable than 5 months ago). However it really is just a matter of weeks before this is available. The support pages go up a few days before devices start shipping. The N91 I think started shipping on Monday and I think the N80 starts next monday.

Smile I saw an N80 poster on the London underground on Friday

Large picture of the N80, text and pictures at the bottom about the N series. Definitiely on the Victoria line, probably the northbound platform at Vauxhall.

My train was arriving so I didn't stop to take a piccie.

As for price, well the N90 started out over £600 too.

They should be in the shops soon. It has been on Carphone Warehouse's coming soon list for a while, I've not noticed it being advertised by anyone else yet.

ttfn,
Tony

I'm sure we'll see the N80 for T-Mobile USA soon! Yeah right.. just wishful thinking. The last S60 smartphones I saw at T-Mobile USA were the 6600 and N-Gage. I've been hoping to replace my 6600 with a N70 or at least a 6630, but I doubt I will see them at T-Mobile USA anytime soon. I think I'll be better off not holding my breath and just buying an unlocked phone.

The N80 looks very promising, but the initial price will probably steer me towards buying a N70 instead. (Looking forward to the AAS N80 review though.)
