Branded or Non Branded ?

Hello guys , in need of a little help, i have decided on getting myself a lovely new N70, as it is at the moment my network provider is Orange. i would like to still be with them but on looking at some of your forums you lot are having trouble with your N70 locked to Orange network.
Can you tell me what kind of problems you get with this and would i be better off getting a sim free N70 ?
Thanking you in advanced

If I had my time again I would NEVER get the phone with the Orange branding on it. Some people dont have an issue with it, they want a phone that calls and texts and it does just that. Personally I want to change my screen to correctly focussing wallpapers (the Orange homescreen completely screws this - having to pay / download additional software to get a pic to focus should NOT be a requirement of buying a new phone), I want to use the 4-way shortcuts that are pre-programmed into Nokias central joystick (the Orange homescreen removes this), I want the screen to update even when I have keylock on (the Orange homescreen does not update until the keylock is off) and I want the phone to operate at its optimum speed - this will only happen if you have no Orange homescreen on the N70.
So in conclusion, if you can get an unbranded N70 then do so - its a lovely phone. If you cant, be fully aware of what you are getting yourself into!

I can second mark4130's comments entirely. I very recently had an N70 on Orange. After 2 days of messing about with it I got rid as it was driving me mad. Today I have got one on O2 instead and it's simply brilliant with none of the hassles the Orange handset had.

I chose O2 as if you look through these forums it seems like O2 are the only provider who don't mess with the original Nokia software.
