Just while we are on the subject of head sets - i have N6680 and when i insert my headset it seems very loose (also same problem with USB cable). Sometimes although headset is still in my phone will not recognize it.
Is this loose USB/headset connection a common problem or is it just me?

Maybe u've a corrupted MMC if I'm not mistaken. Search this forum about Corrupted MMC fix by me.
Try below guide to fix errors on ur phone, specially with the headset. If still not working, try to plug another 6630 headset (compatible) and see if it working. If yes, then something error with ur headset.

Cool

To change firmware by ur self, it's hard to do besides u must have a legal firmware, expensive tools and a good skill.

Go to nearest NSC (Nokia Service Centre). If ur phone still under warranty and legal from Nokia, then upgrading a firmware is free of charge. If the warranty has expired but legal from Nokia, then discount 50 % otherwise NSC will charge u. Ny experience with N-Gage, the cost is 10$.

IMPORTANT!!!
->Backup ur phone 1st b4 upgrade its firmware such as contacts, notes, etc... Upgrading a firmware will make ur phone just like new. No contacts, notes, BT's name etc.
->They don't need ur SIM or MMC, just the warranty card if still under warranty.

Good luck
