Instant messanger for x700

Greets,

I am thinking of buying the panasonic x700 and have a question:
Can you use instant messangers on this phone(that use yahoo id's),and,if so,
what instant messanger software(preferably freeware) would you recommend.

I am eagerly awaiting your answers,
