PC Suite problems.
My N70 has synced & telephone numbers transfered from the pc to the phone correctly, but each time I try to install new programs, an error message comes up saying the operation could not be completed.
The same thing happens when I try to open the Nokia Phone Browser.
I removed Pc Suite 6.6 from Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP s.p. 2)
& re-installed/paired the phone, but still have the same problem.
Anybody any ideas. The problem also exists when I use my 6630 as wel.l
Many Thanks.

Ido some guesswork here because you donät provide details. Seems you use BT, but what BT software stack in PC are you using ? Microsoft ? How have you synced contacts, between Outlook and phone ? If yes, then the PC Sync seems to work. YOu should install applicaitons with Nokia Application installer, if you have done it in some other means, I don't know what goe wrong.
What do you mean by trying to open Nokia Phone Browser and it does not succeed ? YOu click on the file manager icon in PC Suite and it does not open anything, is that what you mean ?

I actually have been using cable connection, but BT was messed up as well. the error I kept getting was the exact one as stated in my first post. I thought I had the problem sorted by downloading 6.5 but it's still messed up does nayone know if a firewall can affect PC suite? I know it sounds stupid but its all i can think of.

I experienced the exact same thing. I found out that it only happens on computers that previously have had pcsuite installed. It doesn't have anything to do with the phone or the connection type.
Uninstalling, manually deleting folders or regedit cleanup do not work! Nokia careline haven't got a clue. Really annoying
So what did I do to solve this problem? I actually formatted my pc, reinstalled XP and the latest pcsuite software and voila; Everything works like a charm:-)
Hell of a job - but worth it!!!

Has anyone tried the Nokia site and used the updated cable driver thats there. It says that if you have Windows 2000 or XP that the drivers are incorp in PC suite but worth a shot.

I have had many versions of pc suite on my laptop and i have no problems with my latest version for the n70 using both BT and cable.
