Release date for N70 on Orange UK

Just wondered if anyone happens to know when the N70 will be out on Orange? Its *still* not on the coming soon page.

i just switched from orange - after a breif interim 14 days with o2 - mainly as for some reason - despite living in zone 2 central london - i couldnt get a reliable 2g signal on my spvc500 or any phone on ornage at my house
which was frustraing

also they have bugger all roaming agreements - though recently added a very expensive gprs service for ireland.

anyhow - orange always seem to be last to get handset as well
due to the customisation? which alas vodafone now are doing too

it seems only o2 dont rebrand - imho orange went downhill fast
when they were sold off - ive been with them since 97 - though i did have one year with 02 inbetween

It's still on the Carphone Warehouse and O2 "coming soon" pages as well.

TBH, I'm surprised at Vodafone having it out before anyone else... they're normally pants at getting phones out on the market!!

Just chatted with Orange this morning, the dude looked it up on the system and the N70 is marked simply as release in 'November'.

Think we had probably guessed that one :-D Yea, I have swapped between Vodafone and Orange for a number of years now, now settling back with Orange again for some reason.

Apparently the N70 was released on Orange today, 1st Nov 05. I've upgraded as my current 7650 has been giving me trouble for the last month or so with batteries lasting no longer than a day on standby and approx 15 mins tops during calls.

Hopefully I'll get it tomorrow or failing that then Thursday.

Yeah... That's what I told Orange Customer Services for the last week or so, their reply, "Sorry sir, it's not released yet, we just want to make customers aware of the phone hence its listing on the website" Only yesterday did they tell me that the phone was available.
