Review of the Nokia Music Pack

Steve plays with the new Nokia Music Pack and then goes straight back to the music solution he's been using for the last year. Read the full review here.

Motorola's also bringing out a Music pack which contains pretty much the same stuff, expect it uses TransFlash rather than RS DV-MMC. I'd be surprised if Samsung and others didn't follow suit.

Oh, and you can get a 1Gb memory card on eBay for £50...

Really? A genuine DV RS-MMC card? 'No matches' when I tried just now...

WMA support isn't so new either. Sendo had managed it with X2, and as that's on Symbian OS 6.1, it shouldn't be too hard for Nokia using OS 7.0, 8.0 or 9.1!

Just simple, unprotected WMA playback shouldn't be more of a problem than any audio format decoder (except that there are many different Windows Media versions that may need to be supported). What can be, and probably is, hard is Microsoft's Windows Media DRM (Digital Rights Management).

If you're prepared to trans-Atlantic:

for ~£45.00
