Lightbulb Ewan Interviews Craig Senick, Quickoffice

One of the more popular applications on both the online stores and bundled with the device is Quickoffice. Craig Senick has been with the product for many years, and All About Symbian sat down with him to find out more about the Office Suite.

Hmm. I've still yet to find a stable version of QuickOffice on Series 60 - my version 3230 kept eating text so that a night's work on something would be back to (almost) square 1 by the next day.

I know it's my sarcastic gene again, and I've harked back on it before, but I won't use or recommend QuickOffice (or DtG) unless they provide support for EPOC/Symbian native formats.

At least Symbian Word in Series 80 gives you the option to select MS format or Symbian format. Come to think of that why wasn't Symbian Word mentioned in the article? Even though it's currently only on Series 80 (and a cut down version on Series 90), it's still an alternative in the Symbian space.

This regardless, thanks for good interview, Ewan, I'll send you the SymPoc beta as promised when it's ready. And speaking of that....yes it's delayed due to lack of time but it will be out one day....at least for Symbian/EPOC Word (CP1252 & Unicode).
