Phone crashing? What situations?

OK, I've encountered some crashes/restarts lately, and I'm wondering if you've encountered them to. Once it crashed during a conversation (not video), and at least twice just as I opened the lid to answer a call. How about you?

never experienced such.. what's your n90's firmware, check my other post about firmware of n90. if you are using an old firmware version, maybe thats what causing the problem. if you can have it (firmware) upgraded in your area/country, it may solve your problem.

My firmware version is the retail one, 2.0527.2.3, and I can get it upgraded, but the Nokia distributer informed me, that this is probably a hardware problem, so I'm returning the phone for a new one.

Not exactly like that. Nokia isn't gonna change it, my mobile operator should, but they ran out of the phones, and apparently there are some production problems, and there is limited availabilty, so I guess I'll have to wait....

Hi, I just got into this forum. I have just purchased a Nokia N 90 from Nokia Professional, an authorized Nokia distributor. Less than a week after, my files got corrupted, I couldn't open many files, the phone would hang and I had to remove the battery to turn it off. I brought it back to the servicenter. They said they had to re format and upgrade software. Good thing I backed up my phone 2 days after purchasing it because they said even my contacts can't be saved. Now, 9 days after that upgrade, my phone is again displaying - "memory full, please close some applications", when there's still a lot of memory available. Again, it would hang. And once, when I turned it on, the theme has changed.

Right now, I'm observing the phone. The technician suggested that it could be the memory card, to observe the phone without the memory card. Had high expectations from this phone, that now this big disappointment.
