6630 - Good mp3 earphones for jogging needed...volume too low

Using my Nokia 6630 as a mp3 player while jogging.

Currently using Ultra Mp3 with Nokia Stereo Headset HDS-3.

My problems are :

1) the earphones keep slipping out of my ear while jogging.
2) volume is too low even when set at max

Solutions?
Alternative earphones?

a) I've read on this board there is an adaptor so I can use normal, higher quality earphones that will stay in my ears while jogging.
Where can I find this adaptor?
What model earphones and where can I find? (please provide a link)

b) Can I get the volume turned up higher?

c) Any aftermarket sport earphones for 6630?

why in the world are you using your cell phone as an mp3 player..it bogs down battery..

probably because he doesnt have another mp3 player and when he has his phone why get another one when he doesnt need it? i guess you could normalize your mp3's? (might cause distortion though

Maybe because it's one of the best features of these phones??

If you try ogg files and oggplayer the sound is quite a bit louder. This way a lot of tracks are just too loud to listen at full volume. They hurt your ears!
You can convert files to ogg using dbpoweramp on your pc!

I think what you're looking for is an adaptor for a POP Port to 2.5mm or 3.5 mm head phones. Various mobile phone accessory places stock them, but I'm not aware on any in Thailand (sorry don't know much about the mobile phone shops in your country). The volume issue - not sure - I suspect you already done this but look at the setting for sound output in Profiles (media volume or similar - it may be the 6630 has this and you turn it up here, though I'm not sure Ogg PLay uses this). Don't have a phone to hand to test this.

So do you have any recommendations for an affordable priced 2.5mm or 3.5mm headphone?

I heard earbuds are the way to go since u ram them in your ear canal so they won't slip out while I jog...but some are damn pricey! By ramming them in the ear, could this also increase the volume.

Could it be that my Nokia headset speakers just suck??? hence the low volume...they really don't fit too well in my ear at all.

PS. checked profiles...no media volume but on ULTRAMP3, volume bar is at it's highest.

What do you mean by "normalizing" my mp3's?

They are currently 128kb/s, saved on the phone.

normalizing makes the mp3's louder, u do that on the pc

It would make sense that the quality would be better if you convert from a cd quality file direct to ogg. I've converted mp3 to ogg and they come out fine. for these phones 64kb/s is fine and they come out half the size of mp3's at least. But 96kb/s ogg files are without a doubt better than mp3 128kb7s files, and a lot smaller.

secondly......ultra mp3 or even mp3 player sucks in terms of sound quality on the 6630..only use the built in player or the OGGPLAYER......simply the best
