6630 v 6680 for travelling
Hi
I want a phone that i can use to store and listen to music when I am on a plane and I have narrowed my choice down to either the 6630 or 6680 as they can both be used in the Offline Mode on a plane. Is there anything to choose between these two models when it comes to the amount of music they can store or ease of use in flight?
Which is the most compact for travel as this might be another deciding factor?
Actually, I think that the N70 is probably the phone I want, but I don't think that will be available before I travel in mid september. Any further news on its availability date?
Many thanks for any advice on choosing between the 6630 and 6680 for travelling.

I would say the 6680 because it is faster, has dual cameras for 3g use... etc etc, but, choose from the amount of money you have.

what are you talking about faster...they have the same CPU.....the 6630 is a little faster than 6680..

The 6680 is not faster, but I don't see how any of these phones can be better than the other for travelling? They have exactly the same storage capacity , sound output etc, if you can wait then i would suggest the N70 as this actually seems a true upgrade to the 6630, which is what I plan to do, my only reservation is the screen size I need to know if the N70 has an equivilant or larger screen cause if its smaller then this could cause problems with tomtom etc.

I am not an expert of Nokia phones (my 6630 is the first Nokia phone in my life) but if you plan to use the phone as a walkman then choose a phone that supports larger memory cards! I assume other Symbian based phones from Nokia should support the offline-mode feature too.

I have tried both an 6630 and a 6680, and the 6680 is faster for menu browsing... but the 6630 boots faster... Toss a coin and let that decide it

Ditto the 6680 is faster through the menu's than my 6630 but takes longer to boot.
The 6680 is an improvement over the 6630, not by much but definetly an improvement, for me the Active Standby swings my vote to the 6680, it makes using the calendar worthwhile.
Also have had no probs with the phone restarting bug that the 6630 suffers from.

i agree 6680. Its a more complete design. Dont forget you have to protect 6630's camera lense and it lacks any flash!
N70 may be worth waiting for.

if you cant wait till sept or october when the n70 is out , then get the 6680 because its
newer,
has 2 cameras,
its smaller and
has better screen resolution

im supposed to order the 6680 today from ebay wish me luck, ive been waiting for a good phone like this for a long time, acutally been waiting for this one in particular for 2 months, as i am still using my 3650
|

I personally owns Nokia 6680 and i also travel a lot and i would say that Till Now I can say Nokia 6680 is Best.
Although perfection is never there but now day none other phone can beat him.

I just got the 6630 last week and love it......I have the option through carphone warehouse to change the phone within 14 days if I don't like it and tbh I can only see one reason to get the 6680 and that is the Active standby.
Any other pressing reasons why I should change?
