Offline Mode

I'm still struggling to work out if I can use a phone such as the 6680 in Offline Mode to listen to music when on a flight. Is Offline Mode the same as Flight Mode? If so, why does Nokia have both modes?

I am very interested in buying a 6680, but only if I can use it in flight to listen to music. Any advice? Many thanks.

flight mode and offline mode are the same, just with different names, so they dont have both because they are the same as each other lol. And yes the 6680 does have offline/fluight mode, whatever you want to call it, so you can use it to listen to music when in that mode, te only thing that the phone cannot do in offline mode compared to normal mode is anything that uses the antenna, eg calling texting or using the internet, all apps inc. the music players will be unaffected.

Hope this clears some things up 4 u

Many thanks for this. Have you ever tried using a phone in Offline Mode on a plane? Do the flight attendants accept that it is OK?

no, i havn't i have only made 2 flights since i goty my 6630 (the onyl phone that i have had that has had flight mode) on the way out the battery was dead and on the way back i forgot i imagine that they would mind, but the best thing to do is ask them before the flight starts and explain what flight mode is etc.. or make sure u keep the phone in ur pocket so they can't see it .
