According to Club Nokia, they're doing some upgrade on the servers at photozone.
So during the period of upgrade, users will not be able to upload any pictures.
Duration estimated: weeks.

Come on guys, this service has bullshit written all over it! Its useless and costly! By the time you will have 20 images uploaded you could save the money and buy a BT adapter!

i think the service is okay, i've shared a gallery with my friends and if the f**kin thing worked i'd be able to take a photo whereever i am and upload it to the gallery (quite useful), as it is i have to download over bt then upload to the nokia photozone server. if/when the service works i'll be using it.
what happened to the private image upload server that was set up? i could connect to that. who ever set it up is one step ahead of nokia!

image upload server
I am currently trying to develop an upload server on my own, using the "Nokia Image Upload Server" API released by Nokia. I ain't getting very far testing it, though. I tried setting up a HTTPS server and using it as an upload server in my 7650, but the request doesn't even come through, it seems. Does anyone know if there is an initial handshake (such as the phone doing an un-documented connection to another server before connecting to the server specified in the settings) before the HTTPS communication begins? The actual API seems very simple, so I'm confident I should be able to get an alpha version of a "Photo Zone"-like service up in a week or two.
I'm in parallell developing a way of uploading images through e-mail, which is a bit more annoying for the user, but more generic (should thus work in other phones than Nokia)
