When you first select memory card for messages it looks for the mail folder in the card.
If this is not present it asks if you wish to tranfer data from phone into the new mail folder it is creating.
If a mail folder is present then it will not ask you to create one.Hence you are not asked to transfer messages.
A trick to transfering messages is to use FExplorer.
Look in SYSTEM folder for either card or phone and you will see a folder marked mail.
If you wish you can reset the card so can send messages across. To do this delete the cards mail folder.
now when you select the card it will ask you if you wish to send messages as it's creating a new folder
BEWARE this method deletes messages stored on card.
Another method which is more complex is to try and identify the messages in the folder by their code.
something like
a0000001
a0000002
a0000003
etc
Then simply copy the message you want and paste into desired mail folder
The last way is mainly trial and error until ya find the sequence ya phone uses to sort out ya mail.
As for which to use in terms of memory card or phone.
I'd say card.
Ya phone is a mere 10mb. The more of this you use the slower ya phone gets.
Not sure if you lot remember the 7650. Great phone for it's time but only had non expandable 4mb. Once ya used it all the phone would crash and ya'd need to get it flashed to clear it.
Ya best bet is to get a large memory card and try and run as much as ya can from that.
Hope this helps
