N70 vs 6680 / 6630
Ohh, I am glad I waited and have not bought the N6680 yet....
The N70 is just around the corner, is much much smaller than both the
6680/6630 and has a much more professional look (business/steel),
it has Stereo FM (Visual) Radio in addition to Stereo Mp3, it also has
35Mb built in memory compared to 10Mb on the 6680/6630, and
of course (yes I know Megapixels isn't everything, lens also matters, but..)
it has a 2Mpxiel camera compared to the 1.3 on the 6680/6630..
Although I do not know, but I would assume the N70 has at least
the same if not faster CPU as the 6680/6630...
And I feel sorry for you who just bought the N6680! Or should I not??
What do you think? I mean is it worth the extra wait??

well, the idea is advancement isn't it, so its not surprising that these phones have come along...personally, i don't like the look of any of the three...all of which, in my opinion are ugly...and don't feel sorry for people who bought the 6680/6630..they are excellent handsets...if we all waited for the "best" handset from nokia, we'd be waiting forever...give it a couple of months, there will be another 3 or 4 handsets from nokia that will, no doubt, be better than the handsets recently announced...comparing these phones individual elements (the camera for instance) is also a moot point..inevitably things are going to be better..thats the idea...i'm happy with my 6630..period..and won't be upgrading to one of the above just because they are "better"...

I am in the same position as you and was going to get the 6680(even though i
was not happy with the round controller pad).
But now that the N70 is coming out (the good Lord has heard my prayers ) It's an even better phone and looks more professional.It is also smaller,has a better camera,hopefuly a better flash(to be confirmed),and an FM radio.
I personaly will try to control myself and wait until it comes out and buy it instead of the 6680.

N70 is expected the 3rd quater = September at the earliest.
Personally I'll take the 6680 now and enjoy it for 5-6 months, then e-bay it

I'm very happy with my 6630 whitch I've got a week ago and won't change it for at least next 6 months. Then, when N70 will be out for a couple of months I'll think about getting it. And the prices won't be that crazy as they are when the device comes out.

1Q=jan-march
2Q=apr-june
3Q=jul-sept
4Q=oct-dec
according to my calculations 3rd quarter is from july to september, hence
saying september at the earliest is a bit harsh!
September at the latest makes more sense, and i am hoping for late july
beginning of august, which means 3-4 months, and not a half year..

The problem is, although phone manufacturers, in this case Nokia,
most times do distribute the phones on the specific Quarter they
announce, mobile phone networks never sell these immediately
as they want to clear the stock of older models.
Such as in the case of 6630; it was said it would have
been released on Q4; it was available on Vodafone UK
towards the end of that, and on most other networks on Q1
of the following year.

One can always buy a retail version before operators are ready to release their versions. The phone might be more expensive that way, but at least you're free to switch operators any time (pre-paid or post-paid) and not be bound by contract to any one for a year or two.

What is the screen size on these N-Series phones in comparison with the 6630? If its the same or bigger then i think N-70 will be my new phone.

6680 was due for release in first quarter, but finally started to appear in sim free in retail mid April, its now May half way through the second quarter and the 6680 is still not available on all networks.
If it follows this pattern the N70 will be available in early October/November

Hey!!!!
I just got my N70 phone and it is awesome!!!!!! I tried the 6680 before and let me tell you N70 is superior, I would recommend to you people that are about to buy a phone, decide by the Nokia N70 is very fast, the camera is very good and also I have to mention the internal memory... friends I think N70 is better than 6680 and 6630 (these two are real good phones... but..)... Regards.
