an upgrade to the p910i?

Hello...

Will there be an upgrade to the p910 in the future, say with 3g capabilities? I am looking at getting a new phone, and the offerings from the various manufacturers are dismal and until June.

So if anyone has heard some rumours on the subject, it would be nice to know;-)

I don't think so. 3G phones use a new kind of sim card (called USIM's), so i'd guess this involves specific hardware in the phone for the new sim's. If it could be done, I wouldn't imagine SE releasing an update to do this.....it will be in the P950i or whatever!

The SIM card has least impact in the development and availability of a 3G phone. The main change is the cellular radio (modem) hardware and software.

In any case, I don't think there original question was about an upgrade to the P910, but a newer, better model to replace it.
