Sending Files Over Bluetooth - Possible Solution?

i remember reading somewhere that there is a list of something on your phone that contains a load of file extensions that cannot be sent over bluetooth. this is why people rename the files first. does anyone know what that file is? im lookn at the developers here. because if so culdnt we just edit it so that you can send .sis and .jar etc??
