SBSH's Papyrus for Series 60 - Calendar replacement
SBSH Mobile Software have announced the availability of a beta of their Papyrus software for Series 60. Papyrus is a more robust and powerful replacement for the standard Calendar program. Features include daily, weekly and monthly view, and more effecient use of screen space that the standard Calendar. During the intial beta period the software is available for free download, and the authors are looking for feedback as to what features you would like to see added.

March 23, 2005 - Papyrus - a new exciting calendar replacement tool for Symbian series 60 devices released by SBSH Mobile Software. Initial release in public beta level and can be downloaded for free.
After targeting SBSH software for the Pocket PC and Smartphone markets (with software titles like PocketBreeze, PocketWeather, iLauncher, Papyrus for smartphone and others), SBSH released today their first software for Symbian series 60 devices; Papyrus, a new solution designed to replace the default calendar application on Symbian series 60 devices with a more powerful and robust solution.
Papyrus initial public-beta release offers three main views:
Daily View - Offering "one day at a time" view with status icons, better visual display and much more.
Grid View - Seven days grid view, giving you a week overview in one screen.
Monthly View - Monthly view with mini-timelines giving you a daily glace on each day, bottom quick list view with a list of appointments on each day and easily jump to daily view screen.
Papyrus is first released as public beta and can be downloaded for free, in return we hope that users using Papyrus will post their feature requests and ideas on our forums and help us improve Papyrus.

Quite possibly. Although I am looking more at the Series 80 Nokia 9300 now.

What's new in Papyrus version 0.9.01?
* Added version for Symbian version 6.1 NGAGE, 3650 and other devices (The new ZIP file you will download contain two SIS files, one for Symbian 7.0, and the other for older Symbian 6.1 devices)
* Added True Type font support (Fonts needs to be installed separately, read more at the bottom of this post)
* Alignment adjustment for daily view
* Added setting option for anti aliased
* Added setting option for True Type
* Fixed events marked as anniversary
* Clicking the 1/3 buttons will move on the monthly view a month on each direction
* Clicking the 1/3 buttons will move on the weekly view a week forward or backward
* Pressing 2 takes you to today on all views
* Pressing backspace (c button) while on a meeting to delete the meeting
* Pre loading the fonts for optimization
* Notes added to all type Of entrys, not available on Symbian version 6.1
* Fixed typos in the resource

What's new in Papyrus version 0.9.02?
* Alarm problem solved
* Monthly top pane problem showing "day, year" instead of "month, year" fixed
* Fonts clipping problem on the monthly view quicklist fixed
* Programming level change: New/Edit form now works with a duplicate appointment item.
* Problem when trying to delete an appointment using the backspace key ('c') fixed.
* Changing the start time for an appointment on the new/edit dialog will now move the end time of the appointment automatically keeping the same time/date gap between the two.
* Optionally include Week numbers on the monthly view, added to settings.
* Optionally set starting day of week on the monthly view and grid view. Can be set to any day of the week.
* Added Setting for first week of year rule, choose between: first four days, first week including 1.1 or first full week

What's new in Papyrus version 0.9.04?
* The "New/Edit appointment" dialog will now use Symbian top and bottom panes, allowing to view the current used input method when entering information.
* The settings dialog will now use Symbian top and bottom panes.
* New "Font selection" settings page added on the settings section, allowing to select which font type to use from alist of all installed fonts. To use TrueType fonts enter the new font settings list and select one of the truetype fonts.
* True Type fonts are now marked with "(TTF)" addition at the end of the font name.
* New font preview window added on the font selection settings window giving a preview of each font style.
* New "Add contact" option added on "New/Edit appointment" dialog allowing to input contact information inside the Subject, Loaction and Note fields.
* Sequence search system added on the new "Add contact" dialog allowing to easily search for contacts.
* Problem removing repeat pattern from appointments with existing appointments fixed.
* New "Repeat until" option added on the "New/Edit appointment" dialog.

Hi everyone,
We have just releaesed version 0.9.05, which have some really cool new features.

What's new in Papyrus version 0.9.05?
* Phone numbers on the view appointment dialog will be marked in blue
* Ability to highlight phone numbers on the view appointment dialog and scroll between them added.
* Clicking the joy-pad enter button will call the currently selected phone number on the view appointment dialog.
* Contacts on the "Insert contact" dialog will now be sorted correctly according to ABC.
* Problem with appointments sort on the calendar views fixed.
* Problem with Papyrus crash after the screen saver is activated fixed.
* When trying to delete a recurring appointment you will now be asked if you wish to delete series or only one occurrence.
* When saving changes in a recurring appointment you will now be asked if you wish to save series or only one occurrence.
