If you're using MSN and have a hotmail account you have to use the full hotmail address as your user name - i.e.: whatever@hotmail.com. I suppose the same applies for Yahoo and AOL users as well.

Agile Messenger works fine here, from the first version to the latest.

So i'm still going crazy trying to get Agile to work on my 9500. My brother just got a Sony Ericsson P910i and it worked first time.

We both on the same network so I ruled out the ports being blocked. When I checked his GPRS settings, he had no proxy server, so I created a new GPRS connection without the proxy server and crossed all fingers and toes.

But still no luck. It keeps saying incorrect username and password. I have emailed Agile now 15 times without receiving a single response.

Does anybody have an older version for me to try. If you do, please email it to useme(at)agetech.co.za

I'm going crazy here.

Thanks
Ari

Thumbs up Agile working great!

Agile Messenger has been working without a hitch on my 9500, firmware is 4.44(1) and Agile Messenger version is 3.30. I've only been using it with MSN since that is the only IM I use apart from Skype.

Image transfer and push-to-talk also work, I hope this product remains free forever!!!

Angry

So here I am still struggling with Agile. My Network has two possible GPRS settings. I have tried recreating the GPRS access point manually.

Does anyone know the difference between "internet" and gprs default network" under "Network ID" when creating a new point.

My borowsing and email access work 100% via GPRS, but Agile still gives hassles

Lightbulb

Could everyone (well almost everyone) who has Agile working, please post their GPRS connection settings so I can compare them.

I know each network has their own, but maybe I'll notice something missing that Agile needs.

Thanks once again
Ari

Mine:

GPRS accesspoint name: internet.netcom.no
Password prompt: No
Username:
Password:

Advanced settings:
Network type: IPv4
Auto-retrieve IP: Yes
Auto-retrieve DNS: Yes

Proxy protocol: HTTP
Use proxy: No

Other
Allow plain-text login: Yes.

I don't actually need any passwords or proxies or anything because everything is automatically recognised by my network, but if I were to use the Proxy server my settings would be like this:

Proxy protocol: HTTP
Use proxy server: Yes
Proxy server: 10.254.254.10
Port number: 8080.

Thanks guys, we all have very similar settings, my access point is just set to "internet" and everything else is standard.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one suddenly experiencing this sicne they upgraded Agile, I just hope they fix the bug soon.

i used to be able to connect using this agile without anyproblem. but since i went to singapore and used different wifi network for agile, it just would not work. it said : "unable to connect to server. if this problem persists plese consult www.agilemobile.com/help"
i went to the site, but it does not help at all, i wonder if anybody else experience the same problem and can resolve it. thanks.

I can't get mine to do anything, I click register service then all the busy icons appear, but it doesn't connect. I don't get any error messages it just sits there trying to connect.
