Quickword and win XP but no Office P910

I could sync in both directions but have only use for one of them. From Win XP to my P910 cause that file will be readable by my phone but if I write one jot on the phone to edit a spelling error or something then I fail to use it on my WinXP computer cause I have no Office.

If I then sync it back it is impossible to use with notepad or wordpad.

I will be traveling much now summer 2005 and need to write down all names and addresses and sync them back up to my computer when I get home.

Should I use the email instead? Is it possible to take text from the Quickword and paste it into an email and make it readable on my Win XP without Office Word.

Have anybody found any solution to this?

As I remember I tried several of them

and none of them could read the quickword file when the smartphone had saved it.

Even my notepad could read it b4 I save it but all openoffice varieties I tested failed.

With all due respect and me wanting to trust you but have you used a regular p910 and a regular winXP and synced over the PC Suite?

The openoffice is soo big so I don't want to set it up again unless I am hundred that it works.
