GPRS Orange Access Pack & Yahoo POP3 Email ?

I have just received a new 7650 on Orange with GPRS Access pack, however I cannot get my Yahoo POP3 Email using any of the Orange connections(Orange,GPRS,MMS).

I have read the forums here and set up my Yahoo account correctly, I have also tried changing the GPRS connection from 'orangewap' to 'orangeinternet' but still no luck. I either get 'General system error' or 'not a secure connection'.

Is this because I have the Orange Access pack? Some say this is only for WAP...which is not the way I want to pick up email.

Can anyone get Yahoo Email via GPRS with the Orange Access Pack Bundle?

Any further help would be very appreciated.

Thanks.

You cannot acces POP3/IMAP4 accounts over WAP, you will need GPRS and your Inernet APN activating.

I'm not sure that Yahoo is POP3, I'm probably wrong though.

One way of setting up email is to use your ISP's POP3 account, and dial up in the same way that you would for internet at home.

Just setup the access point in the same way that your dial up is on your PC. You may have to phone your ISP to get IP an address(s)

Or try changing your GRPS IP to 0.0.0.0 this sometimes works for others, but never has for me.

Sorry for the rushed answer, I will try and answer any other questions you have later.

Izzo.
