Unhappy Troubleshooting:Theme color change...

Hey everyone! I tried changing the color on the phone's menu, (menu-->tools-->themes-->nokia-->colour palette), but it remained the default colour(blue). Is it a software error? And, has there been a release of a newer upgrade for this phone from nokia since the date i bought the phone?(I bought my 6630 phone in December, somewhere around the 15th at a nokia club in Greece) . Thanks!!!!!!!!

I think the color palette is changed only after a reboot or some other event... it is not applied immediately... at least that's what I found on my phone...

From what I've read the colour palette in the 6630 is defined by the active theme, so I doubt the option to change it works.

Feeling blue...

Just got my 6630 this week (upgraded for free on O2 and I have the same problem - on all themes I can't change the colour scheme from blue. I would never try and change the colour normally but now I know I can't - it's REALLY buggin' me! Perhaps O2 have locked their phones to the blue colour scheme?

No, your phone is not locked/branded/customised in any way. This is normal behaviour.

Have a look at my post above

Why would Nokia include the option to change colour scheme on their phone if it is always dictated by the current theme??? Has anyone had any success in changing their colour palettes? For the people who can't change their colour scheme - what network are you on/where did you purchase from?

Calm down, it's the same on all 6630's regardless of firmware/network etc

Actually, it does work, I just changed the colour scheme to green on mine.

The thing is, because the phone uses themes, in normal apps which use the themed UI you won't see a difference. The only thing the colour scheme setting changes is menu items in older apps which still use old UI elements like older phones that don't support themes (7650, 3650 etc).

Try changing the colour scheme then using an app such as FExplorer (www.gosymbian.com). As it uses older UI elements, the colour scheme change will show.

Hope that helps.
