problems with the loudspeaker

when i activate my loudspeaker to listen to my midi files the loudspeaker deactivates itself again, sometimes i can listen for about 1 to 2 mins, but somtimes not because the moment i activate the loud speaker it deactivates itslef again,

how long does the loudspeaker last, without you deactivating it???

It deactivates because of the sensor detected some object (eg. head) is at the way of the sensor & the phone take it that you're listening it through your normal phone speaker.

The sensor is the 2 black button like plastic located at the top left corner of your phone. As long as nothing touched there while your handsfree speaker is working, it'll not be deactivated.

They made it so that if you have a call on loudspeaker you wouldn't blow your ear off if you decide to use the phone regularly. (although its a shame the loudspeaker isn't that "loud" compared to the 9210, or even the 7210!!!) :(

My nokia 6600 speaker and loudspeaker not working at all-got muted

After reading this post, may be my handsfree would have created this mess...dunno exactly..plz. reply...!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi guys,

Since yesterday, facing a weird problem in my Nokia 6600.

I tried to set one mp3 song clip as ring tone and it shows the message as “Ring tone format not supported”. Since then, my normal speaker had gone mute. I can’t hear any ringing tone for any of the incoming calls as well as for mp3 and ogg songs too.

But whenever I listen through my hands free earplugs, ringing tone and songs played normal as usual. I tried to format the phone using “Green key, * and 3 + On/Off button” but that also not working for me. Then I formatted using codes but still the problem persists.

May be my normal speaker is not working properly due to some hardware problem or may be because of software issue. Can I reinstall whole Symbian OS on my phone or upgrading firmware solves this issue?

I tried everything to max to solve this issue. Each and every setting is correct and has no problem but still speakers are not working at all. Please help me on this.

I have the same problem!

Did you find the solution. Nothing comes out of my speaker. The button sounds work, but not any ringers. it works in the headset, but not the speaker. it's soooo annoying.

Speaker Problem...

Hmm... ,If the headset is OK, then the problem lies on the speaker itself. Try replace the speaker.
