Brand new 9210i - dead battery overnight?

Hi,

I took delivery (from Expansys) of a new 9210i yesterday. I immediately started to charge the battery in the morning, and used the phone all day without disconnecting the charger. By the time I went to bed, the charging indicator was still flashing. When I woke up this morning, the whole thing was completely dead, despite still being attached to the charger. The phone had also somehow turned itself off.

I took the battery out of my 9210, put it in the 9210i, and it was fine.

Have I killed this 'new' battery?

I'm on Orange with a Pipex dial account using IMAP. I can send an email, but get the 'MsvSvr' crash when trying to read IMAP.

Any hints?

I had the same problem on my 9210.

Remove the battery and wait 2 minutes.

Try to leave the phone charging, without using it open. Do you use high contrast-High brightness?

Try also asking more, or visit a service centre.
