Some other points:Memory card included in sales package is only 16Mb,it can be changed without turning off the device.
Display is 2 mm smaller, than the other devices of this category /33*39mm/.

Java MIDP 1.0-2 156 points/average/,MIDP 2.0-76points/bit over average/
ringing tones in XMF,or MID,WAV,but mp3 is not supported and they cant be used as a ringtone.../mp3 files are not working on X700/
total absence of multimedia functions-after instaling ULTRAmp3 it was very slow, and there were always error, this means, that mp3 listening is impossible on X700
Absence of stereo headset in sales package.Less than average quality pictures from the camera.USB cabel is included in sales package only in some countries, not in all.
Pisibility of configuring the time of Bluetooth visibility, and you can confogure the speed opf BT connection in 3 levels.
Final conclusion:X700 is a good phone, but with a bit old function comparable with Nokia 6600,because there is the same version os Symbian and the graphic Series 60.Thye dont suggest it for the new users of smartphones/if this should be their first smartphone/.

I suspect that was an early version of the phone because the one I've seen certainly does not match the stuff above.

panasonic x700
hi,
I've actually just got hold of one of these phones and must say I like it a lot. For panasonic its a big step up.
The camera is not that bad. I've still to take a few snaps and upload them onto my computer to see what they are like. The photolight is fantastic.
Of course it lacks in features such as radio, mp3 and so on but the phone is more business orientated. As with everything if you really want these features then you have a choice of other phones in the market.
I have managed to take an mp3 from my computer and transfer it across to the phone. It plays it but the quality isn't that good, though I'm still quite happy with it. The X700 software converts the file automatically (drag and drop). I'm not overly bothered by the mp3 feature anyway.
A friend of mine has tried the other features of running a presentation from the phone via the link up available and he claimed it worked pretty well.
Its not a market leading phone, panasonic never are in this area, but having had a gd87, x70 and an x500, they have made a nice improvement.
The software is a bit jerky/slow at times however an update (when released) should improve things.
