Hold the P800 in my hands

I don´t know, what you are talking about.
Yesterday the SE P800 was sent to my house, and it works perfect!
( I´m writing this mail with the p800!!!)
But the menu is in german, so I don´t think so that you are able to use it.
I bought the phone from Sonyericsson Germany and they told me, that they´re finished testing the phone and that they will start to deliver to the shops. So you can be glad, because the p800 will be delivered soon.
( in about 1-2 weeks)

1-2 month is extremely optimistic guess. Realistic guess is about 6 months.
Intresting that p800 does not support 1.8V SIM cards. (that October whitepaper)

i can understand for people who always have to buy with a contract this sounds good but we don't get the choice to buy a phone cheap with contract or get an upgrade. if you want a new phone you pay the full price.
i guess it's got good and bad sides to it :-?
