PC Sync and email
OK so I am the only one in the planet who is having his FIRST Nokia phone in 2004! This 6630 is quite a thing but the Nokia PC Suite software is awful. And I thought the SonyEricsson software was bad!! Gosh this is even worse.
I have many problems with it but the most important one is that the PC Sync configuration won't let me select Email Items. The "Email Items" line is greyed-out. The help file mentions that email sync is not supported for Lotus Organizer, but I am using Outlook.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the PCSuite software but the problem remains.
Any suggestions?
TIA

PC Suite 6.x is made for all new Nokia phones. Not all phones support all features of PC Suite. Email sync and the text message editor are PC Suite features unfortunately not supported by current Symbian based Nokia phones.

Thanks
Well thanks for the information.... to put it mildly I am very disappointed! Someone in another thread said that this phone has no preinstalled games because it is a business phone!!! A business phone that can't sync email!!!
I can't access my work mail with IMAP so for years I have used a pocketpc to sync work mail and I thought a symbian based phone would fully replaced that solution.

Contacts and Tasks
Yes they synchronise, but I was talking about email. I still love this phone; browsing the web with Opera under UMTS coverage is superfast; watching TV on the phone is nice too (even if I don't think I will use that service very much) but as I said this lack of email sync is a disappointment for me.

Not used any phones for e-mail as of yet but will liek to do so on this 6630. Have you tried surfing www.handago.com for a 3rd party bit of software?
I agree nokia PC suite is a pile of shite special if your connecting via Bluetooth. Tried hooking up several mates phones via bluetooth and is a nightmare. The bluetooth conection to pc is ok it nokia software which doesn't detect the active connection. Good job Nokia now suppy the data cable with the nokia 6630!

Same problem here...
Contacts synchronize nicely what comes to various phone numbers, but no email addresses. (in synchronization settings/profile view, the email tick-box is grayed out) This worked nicely with 3650, but now with 6630 no success so far....
Using Outlook 2003 sp1

In my case email addresses synchronize correctly; I use Outlook 2000. What I was referring to is synchronization of email messages.

I have the same problem. Planning to replace the pocketpc with the 6630, but seems that I will still need of my Ipaq. Did you find any way to synch the email?
I have also problem with an error during back-up (file contatcs.cdb cannot be copied) and finally I am not able to use the 6630 as a BT modem (USB is OK).
