N-Gage Battery Life ...
Hi,
I think my Ngage drains it's battery too fast...
I have to charge it twice every day !!
Is this normal ?
I didn't play the Ngage games with him so far,
only watched a smartmovie videos for an hour (with headphones),
surfed about an 1/2 hour in Wap, played a bit PicoDrive Games
and talked about 10-20 Min, and it compleatly drains the battery,
Is it supposed to be like that ?
BTW, BT is off .

Well, this phone keeps doing strage stuff with the battery...
yesterday, I got it with full battery, heard 40 min mps's and radio,
watched about 2-3 min of video's,
and after 2 hours it was sitting in my pocket, when I played a mega drive game, the phone froze...
so I got the battery out, and when the screen was up, it showed the battery
in less thn 50% ... Does this stuff happen to U too ?

I change three timea a day sometimes.
but when you don't play games& lestening mp3 quite a long time, it can be used a longer time.
In one battery, i can reed ebooks about 4~5 hours
or listening mp3 3 hours
game 3hours
.....I just use my n-gage 10days, may be it will be better later.

A couple reasons 1. Too many apps are open and you didnt close them properly which drains the battery. 2. Depending on what your doing on the n-gage for example watching a movie for 2 hours will drain the battery or using the n-gage frequently throughout the day. According to the specs you can only play a game for a max of 5 hours before the battery drains out considering you played for 3 and did a lot of other things you could've drained it out that way. If you think this information is incorrect turn off your n-gage open the back case and blow on the golden metal parts that connect your battery to your n-gage, to clear out any dust or particles that could be interferring with the energy transfer and then put it back together.

Why is that only 4 hours for ebook reading, is it because of the backlite ?
If I'll read withaout the lite - will it take much less power ?
about the MP3's , isn't that supposed to be 8-9 hours ??, I haven't tries listening much to mp3's yet ( Until my 512MB card arives ) But even when I use the Radio (20+ hours as nokia sais) I see it drains the battery after about 2-4 hours.
BTW, 10 DAYS ?!?! did U even touch the device in those 10 days !?!?
If I don't touch much mine, it only lastst 10-15 hours to the most !!

1. I always check there's no programs in the memory when I finish using them - so thats not the reason.
2. I didn't say 3 hours! ... I only got time to play 3-10 Min a day.
and I really don't think the battery can hold more then 1-2 hours of games in the Ngage !! (even less if I play Ngage 3D games and not Rom roms)
3. about "cleaning the metal parts" I don't think thats the problem, I've taken the device to service 3 days ago and thay said they cleaned it, and it seems ok to them.
4. When I said "using the n-gage frequently" you mean that if I use my calander of somthing it also takes alot of power, or is it because of the backlight ?
5. Does it hurt the battery when I leave it charging all night long ?

"5. Does it hurt the battery when I leave it charging all night long ?"
According to my manual, u shouldn't overcharge ur battery. I'm not sure if the battery can overcharge with the original Nokia charger.
I can use my N-gage QD for 2 days or more, even if i play games several hours a day. Ok, I know the QD has a more powerful battery. Perhaps u can buy a QD battery, if it fits the original N-gage?

about the overcharge ... I see that the phone stopps recharging when it's 100% so I hope it's ok.
about the QD battery, it fits ... but the problam that when it's it the back case can't close !!
what do U do with the phone that it lasts that long ?? Do U play movies and surf the Wap too ?

Not movies yet on my QD. I play games, use Arena and a little wap. My 3650 had a battery that didn't last as long for me. I charged it every day when I played a lot.

I think that the problem is with the music\radio. When I don't use thos
the Ngage lasts a whole day ...
For Example - Today: from 100% to 50%
1.5 hours Radio + 10 min Wap + 20 min movies
does that sound ok ?
