Desktop Synchronisation for Handy Software
If you use Handy Safe and/or Handy Expense, then this is the news you have been waiting for. Epocware have released Handy Safe Desktop and Handy Expense Desktop. They are PC companions for Epocware Handy Safe and Handy Expense programs for Nokia 7650 phone.
The Desktops are designed as plug-ins for the Nokia 7650 PC Suite software and allow user easily synchronize information between the phone and the PC. This is very important feature, because entering information on the phone is very complicated and slow. Now you can enter information on the PC, and then synchronize it to the phone by just one button press.
The synchronization works also as a backup mechanism. If you lost your information or even your phone, you can restore it by synchronizing with the Desktop companion, that has all your information from the last synchronization.
The Desktops are based on the fundamentally new technology of synchronization developed by EPOCWARE. This technology can be used for seamless synchronizing of any kind of data between phone and PC. Until now the data synchronization was the weak point of Symbian platform, comparing it with Palm OS. Now EPOCWARE fills this gap. More Desktop application will be released in the near future by EPOCWARE.

I would prefer a new desktop software for the 7650 in general ... with the ability to edit all the entries in the phonebook, the calendar, the notebook, the sounds and so on ... if Nokia doesnt support this, perhaps any developper will .... ?

I've noticed some references in VB which involve Nokia components (contacts manage etc) since installing the 7650 desktop software. I've been meaning to look into that, but I just don't have time.
