I have opera on my phone which came on the mmc and i dont use it at all beacause i can access the www internet just from the o2 gprs web connection. (i tried going on opera but wen i got to a website it just doesnt load?!) Anyway i have full innternet no probs its just agilemessenger (latest one from the site)!!!!

WILL SOMEONE WHO HAS THEIS WORKING ON THERE NOKIA 7610 ON O2 GPRS PLEASE HELP ME OUT?!!!!

I hear people talking about proxy settings and ports and stuff there's nothing like that in o2 settings access point but there is in the opera settings (but i cant seem to work opera!)

If you search the forum I think there is already a thread on getting agile working with O2 and vodafone (the two troublesome ones?) as they both have content control features. You need to ring up your operator and get them to switch it off I think.

cheers,
Nyx.

Edit -

I have also just noticed that you put wap gprs in the title - you cannot use wap gprs connection for agile - it must be a true internet gprs connection.

ok right u have the o2-wap grps settings they dont work with internet based applications like agile messanger (i work for o2-customer care by the way) what u need is the mobile web settings on your phone, if you got the phone from 02 then they will already be on the phone just select it as your connections settings in agile messanger! if you dont have them you can get them from here!!

http://secure.mouse2mobile.com/clien...et/default.asp

that is a link from the nokia website! u just select your country and operator! dont worry u still get your 100kb free data entitlement using the connection (thats if you are on contract) not sure about pay and go though (if it costs that is).

hope this helps ya!

not really, just make sure the gprs access point for mobile web is active on the account, by the way just cos normal gprs is working doesnt mean the mobile web access point is active on your account, so ring up o2 to check.

O2 Payg Answer

I rang O2 PAYG online (genie) and they said the mobile internet settings were not available to O2 PAYG customers. I think this is silly as we do eventually pay for GPRS but hey thats life. Nothing other than the standard web app works but i have started to use my phones pop3 settings ok with an o2 email address. i use a 7610. Matt

@ liquid fists

I've just signed up to O2 online with a 7610 - you seem quite knowledgeable on this - I was confused by the presence of all the different connections - what's the difference between O2 Mobile Web and O2 WAP GPRS ? I just realised I'd actually been using Opera through the O2 MMS connection :\
