New Theme Studio released

Hello Guys,

Nokia released today the version 1.2 of the S60 Theme Studio.
The new version offers soft mask for icons(finally! ), new editable icons, editable progress bars including the animation, ringtones and message alert sound and some other small changes. But its speed is as "fast" as ever. :-(
So, download and test for yourself.

And now some bad news.

We imported some old themes and the highlights are missing in the preview screen. They are still editable and show on the telephone, but not in the preview.
We are in contact with nokia to see if this is a known bug and if this affects the old themes. I will tell you more when we know more.

And i thought it was just me

It is a known bug/feature. The old highlights won't show in the new tool, but will still be in the theme on the telephone. Only new created highlight will show.
All new icons aren't shown in my phone, just some of them.
I think all new editable icons will be supported by the coming 6630 and onwards.
The sofmasks work in my phone. The transparent highlights will also be supported by the 6630 onwards. For all old phones there are the standard non-transparent highlights in the tool.
And there is no way of using animated backgrounds. This feature is not implemented yet. But they are thinking about it. So there is still hope.

has anyone try playing with the progress/waiting bar yet?
is there any way to solve this problem (see attachment) or is this another bug of the new nts?
in the animate in works but on the phone its not..
tried installing the theme on both 6600 and 6260..
it exist in both phones while the original themes that come along with 6260 doesnt have this problem..
and the grid 2 thats with the new nts also has the similar problem..

Just need advice on how to download the theme studio zip file from forum nokia? I have already registered and meet the requirements with regards to pc but the thing does not seem to download. Tried using the nokia download manager but it does not seem to work...any suggestions?

anyone actually got it working? whenever i try and make a new theme is just complains about a folder being empty, when it quite clearly isnt.

I've been downloading it since morning from the nokia website.. and all i got was error msgs...

See the "Select download method:" box on the download page with the choices "Standard browser download" or "Nokia download manager".

What error messages do you get?

Also, it isn't slow for me (I just downloaded it again - without the download manager - a couple of minutes ago to check, and it only took a couple of minutes).

i tried it with both and got error msg for the browser version and with the d/l manager i got 3 files

a zipped file titled Series60 theme studio + ndmOptions.conf + NDMDownloadLog.log... the zip file seem to be corrupted...

This is the error msg i get when i d/l with the browser version... "Your download couldn't be completed. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please send feedback"

Seems weird. What browser are you using on your PC to get to the site? Can you try another (I used IE to download the file today).
