N9210: "PC suite was unable to because an unexpected error has occurred"

I just downloaded PC suite for Nokia 9210 (for Win XP etc.).

The connection to my N9210 works well. I can copy files,
but conversion does not work, due to the error described below,
and that is a major problem.

1. When I try to click a text file open, it asks me for the format to which to convert,
and regardless of whatever I choose (e.g., ANSI text or Word 97),
I get the message
"PC suite was unable to because an unexpected error has occurred"
"Try Again" "Skip" "Cancel"

I've removed and reinstalled PC suite, also in Finnish, but the
same error keeps occurring (in Finnish when I install the Finnish version).

If I just drag the file, it asks me for the format to which to convert.
Whatever format I choose, the file does not get copied when I hit
"Convert", just the window disappear. If I, instead of Convert,
choose "Copy only", I do get a copy, but in the original format
(I think so, since I see just part of the text and many formatting
symbols, with Wordpad/Notepad/Word).

2. I'd like to upload my SMS's so that I could read them later on PC.
Is it possible to convert them to a form readable by some PC
application?

I'd like to remove the SMS's from the 9210 to free more memory,
but I would not like to loose them forever.

3. I have just 300 kB left on the 9210 but 5 MB on the memory card.
How can I move staff to the card to free more memory?
How much memory do I need to have the 9210 run faster?
(It is now pretty slow when I want to switch from, e.g.,
Calendar to Tel, or from a view to another.)
What could easily be removed?

c64dude writes that he got a similar problem after installing Win XP SP2.
I have SP2 too. So PC suite's converter is incompatible with SP2?

Any new versions to be expected?
(I uploaded mine today from Club Nokia.)
