locutus_uk - Re: cases, you could try Expansys. I am using a leather case I was previously using for my Nokia 8910i (now consigned to my mobile phone museum

) The case doesnt completely cover the top few mm of the X (as it is a taller phone than the 8910i), but it is covered by a closing strap at the top that will protect it & more importantly, the screen will be completely protected.

(The case is labelled as being for the SE T610i, but, as this phone is virtually the same size as the 8910i, I am fairly sure it is the same case I bought 18 months ago).
Expansys also have another case for the Sendo X:

Re: Smartmovie, as you have probably noticed, there have been a lot of posts about this, however, it is really up to the developer to investigate the reason for the performance problems on the X. v2.46 was supposed to address some of these issues, but again, going by other posts, it looks like the problems havent been fully resolved yet.
I do understand some of your frustrations with this phone - I have had no end of problems using Psiloc FExplorer for example (unable to delete files, failure to copy large files, constant hangs & crashes) & have now replaced this with Symbianware File Explorer. I am also at a loss to explain why the Viking Informatics MP3Player (which apparently has a good reputation) cant play any of my MP3 files when the built in SendoX player can.
I dont know whether these problems are due to Sendo's implementation/customisation of the Series 60 OS or bad coding on the part of the 3rd party developers. Ultimately, though, I think the advantages of the SendoX far outweigh the negatives.
